Taking Up Space by Odie Cibrian
"These photos got deleted at some point and instagram failed to notify me? Not just once but multiple times. I cried when I found out the first time because my only thoughts are: Maybe it’s cuz I’m fat or maybe it’s cuz the scars on my legs? things that are not deemed “perfect” or “good” I used to always tell ppl if I was skinny and white my page would get more traction. "Instagram has been censoring fat bodies for years but they can’t censor my fat body from being in ur home” - I started selling prints of these images because fat bodies are important and shouldn’t be censored; we shouldn’t feel ashamed for existing and taking up space. I should’NT have to be stressed about my platform being deleted when every thin person I see on here can post the EXACT SAME IMAGE without a worry. People need to stop being scared of fat bodies just because it’s what they’ve been taught. I’m a QUEER FAT POC. Share me don’t censor me.”
